Lyntegar provides electricity to all or part Andrews, Borden, Dawson, Gaines, Garza, Howard, Hockley, Lubbock, Lynn, Martin, Terry and Yoakum Counties; serving more than 5,400 members and more than 22,000 meters. The electric cooperative has limited energy efficiency programs and has not invested in renewable energy programs. Instead, it gets its power from the Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, which does have some investments in wind power, though the majority of its power comes from gas resources.
